The Marine Retreat transforms your aquarium substrate into a roomy hideaway beneath the sand. Designed to sit against the aquarium glass, two naturally shaped surface entrances lead down into a winding underground chamber with gently curved walls and multiple sheltered areas for exploring, resting, and hiding.

The two entrances give appropriately sized aquarium residents more than one way to come and go, while the open viewing side lets you watch their adventures through the glass. It’s a private retreat for them and a front-row seat for you! 🫧

Once surrounded by substrate, only the two natural-looking entrances remain visible. The rest of the retreat disappears beneath the sand or gravel, creating a fun hidden world that blends beautifully into your aquascape.

Every aquarium—and every aquatic resident—is different! If you need the Marine Retreat adjusted to better fit your tank or aquarium resident, please message us before ordering. We’re happy to create custom sizes whenever possible.

🏝️ EASY TO ADD TO YOUR AQUASCAPE

Position the open viewing side against the inside of your aquarium glass, surround and cover the cave with substrate, and leave both surface entrances exposed and unobstructed. Avoid packing substrate into the interior openings, and choose a size whose smallest opening comfortably accommodates your aquarium residents.

Please rinse thoroughly with clean water before placing it in your aquarium. Avoid using soap or household cleaners.
