The Sunken Stairway transforms the front of your aquarium into a mysterious pathway rising from beneath the sand. Designed to sit flush against the aquarium glass, its wide staircase climbs between rugged, naturally textured rock walls before disappearing into the surrounding substrate.

Rather than an enclosed cave, the Sunken Stairway creates an open scenic feature that your aquarium residents can swim above and around. The glass-side viewing angle gives you a dramatic front-row view of the staircase and creates the illusion that a hidden underwater world continues beyond the tank. 🫧

Once the exterior walls are surrounded by substrate, only the rock-framed steps remain visible. It blends beautifully with sand, gravel, stones, plants, driftwood, and other aquarium décor while adding a little mystery to your aquascape.

🏝️ EASY TO ADD TO YOUR AQUASCAPE

Position the flat front edge flush against the inside of your aquarium glass. Surround the exterior rock walls with substrate, then shape the sand or gravel around the upper landing so the staircase appears to emerge naturally from the landscape.

Keep the steps and open pathway clear of packed substrate, and choose a size that comfortably fits your aquarium’s available space and substrate depth.

Please rinse thoroughly with clean water before placing it in your aquarium. Avoid using soap or household cleaners.
